What frequency does WiFi use?
WiFi operates on two main bands: 2.4 GHz (2,400 MHz) and 5 GHz (5,000 MHz). The 2.4 GHz band has better range but slower speeds, while 5 GHz is faster but covers a shorter distance. Newer WiFi 6E routers also use a 6 GHz band for even higher throughput.
How do I convert MHz to GHz?
Divide MHz by 1,000 to get GHz. For example, a 3,500 MHz processor runs at 3.5 GHz. To convert the other direction, multiply GHz by 1,000. A 2.4 GHz WiFi signal is 2,400 MHz.
What are common frequency ranges?
